I actually don’t like commissions because I worry about them too much – and I’m also somewhat of a slacker and don’t want to disappoint people. But despite that, I took two commissions on a couple of weeks ago; oddly enough, they’re both with beachcombed materials.
It took a few tries to get these right. I definitely need to get back into the swing of things!
Hi,
I was wondering if you would like to sell that sand dollar necklace. I love them, and just recently a friend gave me 2 sand dollars a med size and large.
Thank you,
Carol
This necklace was actually commissioned by a client, so it’s been sold. Since then, I’m not doing commissions anymore, I simply don’t have the time they deserve.
Glad you liked it though!
What did you do for the ends of the metal?
I love your work, it’s beautiful. Priceless! Thanks for sharing your creations with all of us.
You’re lovely, thank you! <3
They just get tucked under!
How did you preserve the sand dollar? I have many and want to make into jewelry for myself and my daughter.
I actually didn’t! Maybe I should have. This was a LONG time ago. I’d imagine resin would work although I dislike resin – a good spray sealant like Krylon probably works too!
Thank you for the recommendation!
